My thoughts on Valentines day:
For all the people who hate on the Valentine’s day “haters”: Its impossible for the single people to disregard a holiday that celebrates relationships and love. So if you are annoyed of all the “forever alone” or “sadlyf” people around the holiday, its pretty pointless. Of course people are going to be aware of their loneliness on a day built around relationships.
At the same time, all the “sadlyf” people should really realize that Valentine’s day doesn’t have to be about a “relationship.” It can really just be about the people you love, like your mom, grandma, or any other living girl who eats chocolate…(kidding). Oh and pitiful comments about your single-ness or moping around is frowned upon. Who actually WANTS to be pitied? It’s pitiful (haha, perfect word). And embarrassing. Sure, you can have a sigh/tear hear and there because you want to be “loved” but why would you WANT to publicly announce it? I’ll just call you a bitter beaver.
Okay, so here’s both sides to the bitter, wrapped in a blanket, bummy looking, ice cream eating, nasty ponytail wearing, girls (or boys) out there who had a craptastic Valentine’s Day.
I, on the other hand, embraced my singleness today :) and enjoyed watching the epically cute relationships around me. Okay, bye.
